won't play individual songs, skips until asking to refresh page

this started a few days ago. if I switch over to google play's own interface everything works fine so it's not a wifi problem. I'm using High Sierra 10.13.6

I'm assuming you see "Plugin blocked" in the bottom bar, right? If so, it's the same issue that's being discussed in #668, and unfortunately there currently isn't a solution. The app is broken for now, sorry.
